SuperVPN Guide

Why Does SuperVPN Keep Disconnecting?

SuperVPN secure connection screen

SuperVPN may disconnect repeatedly because of an unstable internet connection, an overloaded VPN server, battery restrictions, outdated app versions, or conflicts with other network settings.

In most cases, you can fix the problem by checking your connection, switching servers, and allowing SuperVPN to run normally in the background.

Check Your Internet Connection

A VPN cannot maintain a stable connection if your Wi-Fi or mobile data is frequently dropping.

First, disconnect SuperVPN and check whether normal websites load correctly. If your internet connection is already unstable without the VPN, restart your router or switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data.

Once your connection is stable, reconnect SuperVPN.

Try a Different Server

The selected VPN server may be experiencing heavy traffic or temporary connectivity problems.

Disconnect from the current server and choose another available location. If the new server remains connected, the issue was likely related to the original server rather than your device.

For better performance, a server closer to your actual location may also be worth trying.

Check Battery Optimization

Some Android phones aggressively restrict applications running in the background to save battery.

If SuperVPN disconnects whenever you lock your screen or switch to another app, check your device battery settings.

Look for SuperVPN under Settings > Apps > Battery or a similar menu and allow appropriate background activity if your device provides that option.

The exact menu varies between Android manufacturers.

Disable Other VPN Connections

Running another VPN, proxy, or network-management application at the same time can interfere with SuperVPN.

Check whether another VPN profile is active on your device. If so, disconnect or disable it before starting SuperVPN again.

Android normally allows one active VPN connection at a time, so conflicting configurations can prevent a stable connection.

Update SuperVPN

An outdated application may have compatibility problems with newer Android versions or network configurations.

Check whether a newer version of SuperVPN is available from your trusted download source. If an update is available, installing it may resolve connection problems caused by an older release.

If the problem started immediately after an update, however, testing another compatible version may help identify whether the update is responsible.

Restart Your Device

A simple restart can resolve temporary network or VPN-service problems.

Close SuperVPN, restart your phone or Android TV device, reconnect to the internet, and then launch SuperVPN again.

This can clear temporary network processes that may be preventing the VPN connection from staying active.

Check Your Wi-Fi Network

Some public, school, office, hotel, or other managed networks may restrict VPN traffic.

Try connecting SuperVPN through a different Wi-Fi network or mobile data. If it works normally on another network, the original network may be responsible for the disconnections.

Public Wi-Fi networks may also require you to complete a browser-based login before internet access becomes fully available.

Clear the App Cache

If SuperVPN has accumulated corrupted or outdated temporary data, clearing its cache may help.

On Android, open the system settings, find SuperVPN under your installed applications, open its storage settings, and select Clear Cache.

Avoid selecting Clear Data unless necessary, because this may reset application settings.

Reinstall SuperVPN

If the problem continues after trying the steps above, reinstalling the application can provide a clean installation.

Before uninstalling, make sure you know which version you want to install and that you have a trustworthy source for the replacement APK if you are installing it manually.

After reinstalling, reconnect to your network and test the VPN again.

When Should You Try Another Version?

If SuperVPN worked normally before an update and started disconnecting immediately afterward, the new release may not be fully compatible with your particular device or Android version.

In that situation, checking a previous compatible version can help determine whether the issue is version-related.

However, older versions may lack newer fixes and improvements, so they should generally be used only when there is a specific compatibility reason.

Final Thoughts

SuperVPN disconnecting repeatedly does not necessarily mean there is a problem with the VPN itself. Internet instability, server conditions, Android battery restrictions, conflicting VPN settings, and outdated software can all contribute to the issue.

Start by checking your internet connection and trying another server. If the problem mainly occurs when the app runs in the background, review your device battery settings. If nothing works, updating or reinstalling SuperVPN can be the next step.
